Kairos Retreat

“Philia.” That is the base word underlining my Kairos Retreat. When you find love, you find God. And love is found in relationships. That is precisely why relationships are very important for anyone who desires to lead the good life. If there is one thing this retreat taught me, it is that the finer things in life are not money or fame or popularity or clothes or any material objects we place value on. How we relate and interact with others in any relationship matters a lot. Through such relationships, we can cultivate the finer things in life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, also known as the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. When I remember my Kairos Retreat, my mind wanders to the words of Maria Fontaine: “Faith sees the invisible, believes the impossible, receives the incredible”. I look forward to living the Kairos experience for a long while to come.
